Taunton Teaching Alliance were delighted to welcome Julia Steward, Leadership Development Consultant and professional coach, to talk on the subject of emotional resilience in school leaders and within the school environment as part of the current Inspiring Leadership programme of CPD events.
This week’s powerful Blog of the Week comes from from @TeacherToolkit and looks at behaviour from an empathetic approach with some useful suggestions. There must be a zero tolerance policy to poor behaviour, but also we need to be skilled in reading and defusing situations that arise.
May 2017 sees two free Inspiring Leadership presentations from Taunton Teaching Alliance. Firstly David Bunyan, Coaching Advisor to UK Sport talks about learning lessons from Outstanding Olympic and Paralympic coaches (17th May); and then Julia Steward, professional leadership consultant presents on how resilience can be sustained in school leadership (25th May).
