Imperatives for Change: Achieving the Best for Our Pupils and Ofsted
Embracing the Future event: Wednesday 26th April 2017
As part of the current Embracing the Future Governors’ Development Programme, Taunton Teaching Alliance were delighted to welcome the invaluable expertise and experience of our three guest speakers:
Ian Grant (Assistant Headteacher and Geography Teacher at Heathfield Community School and Ofsted Secondary School Inspector)
Guy Adams (Solicitor and Managing Partner at Pardoes Solicitors LLP, National Leader of Governance, Governor at Richard Huish College, Chair of Governors at Richard Huish MAT and Parkfield Primary School)
Introduced by Embracing the Future lead Julia Steward (Chysalis Leadership Development), Ian, Pauline and Guy provided an excellent insight into current Ofsted inspection priorities, focusing specifically on what Ofsted means for governance and the role of governors prior to, during and after the inspection of their school.
A sincere thank you to our presenters and to everyone who attended and contributed such thought-provoking questions on the night.
